I think the very historic state cemetery is a place for people interested in history.... and interesting people...would want to go People like Barbara Jordan who was an American lawyer, educator and Politian who was a leader of the Civil Rights Movement - was interred there in Honored author's of Texas like James Fran Dobie, Frederick Benjamin Gipson, Thomas Calloway "Tom" Lea, James Albert Michener, Bud Shrake, Walter Prescott Webb, Larry L. King, T.R.,Fehrenback, Gary Cartwright, Jason Tremblay It is located east of downtown Austin at 901 Navasota street-built in 1851
